Forbidden Shelf is a luxury dark romance and romantasy brand creating premium curated book experiences for readers who love immersive storytelling, beautiful collector editions and spicy surprises.
Every box is carefully curated to create an unforgettable unboxing experience.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes! We ship worldwide.
Shipping costs are calculated based on your destination and will be displayed at checkout. Please note that any customs duties, taxes or import fees are the responsibility of the customer.
Are your boxes suitable for everyone?
Our products are intended for adults aged 18+.
Many of our books and curated items contain mature themes, explicit content and intimate products. Please read individual product descriptions before purchasing if you are unsure whether a box is right for you.

How much does Collector Circle cost?
Collector Circle costs £9 per month.
Can I cancel my membership?
Yes.
You can cancel your membership at any time before your next billing date.
If your monthly payment has already been processed, your membership will remain active until the end of your current billing period.
Monthly Subscription
How does the Monthly Subscription work?
Your subscription renews automatically each month.
Each box includes a carefully curated selection of premium products inspired by dark romance and romantasy.
Boxes are limited to maintain quality and exclusivity.
Can I skip a month?
Not at the moment.
If you no longer wish to receive future boxes, you can cancel your subscription before your next renewal date.
Mystery Drops
What are Mystery Drops?
Mystery Drops are limited-edition surprise boxes released every two months.
No full spoilers are revealed before launch, making every unboxing a unique experience.
How long are Mystery Drops available?
Collector Circle members receive early access.
Any remaining boxes are released to the public for one hour only or until sold out.
Once the launch ends, the Mystery Drop will not return.
Collector Editions
What makes Collector Editions different?
Collector Editions are premium pre-order boxes released four times each year.
Each edition is built around a unique theme and includes exclusive books, luxury collectibles and carefully curated products unavailable in our standard collections.
Can I cancel a Collector Edition pre-order?
No.
Collector Editions are produced specifically based on customer pre-orders. Once your order has been placed, it cannot be cancelled, refunded or amended unless Forbidden Shelf is unable to fulfil your order.
Black Label
What is Black Label?
Black Label is the highest level of the Forbidden Shelf collection.
Each Black Label release is an ultra-premium collector experience featuring bespoke luxury products, exclusive content and founder-designed collector pieces created exclusively for that edition.
Why is Black Label only available as a pre-order?
Every Black Label Edition includes custom-made components manufactured specifically for that release.
This allows us to create an exceptional collector experience while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Can I cancel my Black Label pre-order?
No.
Due to the bespoke nature of Black Label products, all pre-orders are final once your order has been placed.
Shipping
When will my order be shipped?
Each product has its own estimated dispatch date.
Monthly Subscriptions and Mystery Drops are usually dispatched within 5–10 working days.
Collector Editions and Black Label releases are dispatched according to the estimated production timeline shown on each product page.
What happens if production is delayed?
Occasionally, manufacturing or supplier delays may occur.
If this happens, we'll keep you informed throughout the production process and provide updated dispatch estimates whenever possible.
Will I receive tracking information?
Yes.
You'll receive an email with tracking details as soon as your order has been dispatched.
Products
Will I receive the same items as someone else?
Not always.
Many Forbidden Shelf releases include exclusive or limited-edition items that may never be reproduced. We continually evolve our collections to keep every release unique.
Are your spicy toys body-safe?
Yes.
We carefully select our manufacturing partners to ensure our intimate products are made from body-safe materials and meet appropriate quality standards.
Please refer to the individual product information included with your box for care and usage guidance.
Do you accept returns?
Returns are accepted for eligible products in accordance with our Returns Policy.
Please note that pre-order Collector Editions, Black Label releases and opened intimate products are not eligible for return unless faulty or where required by applicable consumer law.
If you receive a damaged or incorrect item, please contact us within 7 days of delivery so we can help resolve the issue.
